Legacy of Leesburg is on the east side of U. S. 27, just south of Leesburg with easy access to highways leading to The Villages, Orlando, Tampa, and central Florida. Being central, day trips are possible to the Atlantic coast from Daytona Beach to Kennedy Space Center. On the Gulf side, day trips include Tampa and Crystal River (Homosassa Springs) areas.
